Can I come and watch the band play live before I book?

We do play some public venues, so please ask for a list of our dates. Please bear in mind though, that we adjust our setlist for the venue’s requirements, so we wouldn’t necessarily be playing the songs that we would choose to play at your function. Also, some venues require a ‘rock’ band, so our dress code at the venue would reflect this. Please be assured that we are professional and experienced in every type of event and very accomodating.

How do I confirm a booking?

If you’ve requested a quote and would like to go ahead with the booking, we’ll need your full address and contact details along with the venue address. We’ll then post you a contract with full terms and conditions included. This will then need to be signed and returned to confirm the booking. A deposit of approximately 20% will also be required, this is payable by BACS or Cheque.

How much do the band cost?

It depends on the traveling distance, the arrival time for set-up and finish time. Please email us for a quote.

Are their any hidden fees such as VAT?

No, we do not currently charge VAT

What time will the band arrive?

We will usually arrive and set-up from 6pm onwards. For Weddings, this means we’re ready to set up as soon as the wedding breakfast and speeches are finished. With corporate and charity events, we will always set up and sound check before guests arrive. If you require the band to set up earlier in the day, there is an additional fee of £50 for every hour before 6pm.

How long does it take the band to set up?

We take an hour to set up and sound check. Lifts or stairs may increase load in time.

How long will the band play for?

Our standard  playing time is 2 hours in total, which can be split into either 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 minute sets, depending on how you want your evening planned. If you need us to play longer, we do offer an extra 40 minute set for an extra £250.

How long are the intervals?

We request intervals of at least 15 minutes but this can be longer to suit your requirements on the day.

What time should the band start playing?

This is completely up to you and your schedule on the day. We find it’s often best to start the band at around 9pm but this is purely a guide. We also find it’s best to serve the buffet during the band breaks or before the band start.

Does the band provide music between and before sets?

Yes, we’re happy to provide music via a laptop between sets. We have a piece of software that mixes each song so that there are no gaps, just like a real dj.  And we can accommodate requests on the night, as long as we have the song on the laptop.  If you have an idea of what you would like played during our breaks, then you can let us know in advance, and we can set up the playlist accordingly.  You can also bring along your own  iPod with your own playlists which can be played through our PA system, if you prefer.

Will the band require refreshments?

We request that the band is provided with soft drinks throughout our stay at the venue. We also request food for the 5 members of the band. This doesn’t have to be to the same standard as your guests meal, just something before we play to keep energy levels up. We often leave for the gig at mid-afternoon and won’t arrive home unitl the early hours so some hot food is always highly appreciated.

Does the band provide their own PA system / Lighting equipment?

Yes, we are compeltely self-contained so you don’t need to worry about a thing. We use a top class 4KW QSC Audio Pa System for venues with up to 500 capacity.  If you need us to use a pa for much larger capacity, then we can hire in a bigger system, which would require a separate quotation, depending on requirements. Our lighting rig is a mixture of static and moving lights to provide an exciting look for your event.

Do we need to hire a raised stage?

No, a stage is always a great addition to a performance but is not a requirement.

How much space do you require?

We are very accommodating when it comes to space and can adjust into just about any room or marquee. Our ideal preference would be 5 meters in width and 3 meters in depth.

What are the minimum power requirements?

We require at least 2 independent 13 amp sockets. If your marquee company has requested details, please advise that our PA system and lighting use approximately 5kw and a single 16amp power supply is not sufficient.

Is the band PAT tested with adequate public liability insurance (PLI)?

Yes, if the venue requires a certificate, please contact us and we’ll forward you copy.
